Dear southern Arizona lupus community,
Many of you have been wondering about our upcoming Walk the Loop for Lupus, a fundraiser that brings hundreds of people together to celebrate and support lupus patients, their families, and the southern Arizona lupus community. Originally scheduled for April 18th, this year’s Walk the Loop for Lupus is being postponed until sometime in late September or early October, in an effort to protect everyone from the coronavirus (COVID-19) an illness that disproportionately endangers those with compromised immunity and underlying health conditions. Our fundraising site will remain open through the summer, and our efforts to secure sponsorships will continue. A special thanks to our current sponsors for your generosity and patience. We couldn’t do this without you! Those of you who have begun registering teams may continue to do so, or take a break if desired. All registrations will be honored, and the t-shirt deadline will be extended indefinitely. We will provide additional information about the postponed Walk the Loop for Lupus once we secure a site.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and please heed all official recommendations related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Respectfully,
Board of Directors and Staff of the Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona
